death by food poisoning

i could have sworn jacksonville's morning paper would be plastered with an article entitled, "death by food poisoning," but it seems i have survived.

eating carino's leftovers for dinner on saturday night seemed like a good idea until about 2 a.m. yesterday morning.  i later learned that my friend who i had gone out to eat with on friday night was experiencing the same symptoms.  i will spare you the rest of the details; however, there are a few things i learned from the experience that i can share.

1.  skip the leftovers...and carino's.
2. food poisoning, although not recommended, is an effective weight loss program (5 lbs. in less than 48 hours).
3. saltine crackers, propel, and popsicles make for the perfect sick diet.
4. i have a really great husband (he bought me a new water bottle, made me a smoothie, got me anything i needed, and cleaned and worked on my car all day yesterday).
5. i never ever want to get food poisoning again.  i don't think i will be eating out any time soon.

for your sake, i won't be posting any pictures of david and i with this post.  it's amazing i didn't scare my husband off considering i could have been mistaken for a body at the morgue or a vampire from twilight.

speaking of which, while looking for twilight pictures to enhance the blog, i came across this article entitled "how to look like a twilight vampire," in case you are interested.  oddly enough, they didn't mention contamination by food poisoning.  anyways, i'll make up for the lack of pictures in my next blog post which will be all about our trip to memphis last weekend.  hope you all have a great monday!  stay away from carino's!
